Conceived as a personal project for Polkadot’s Builder Party, Tekka reimagines how traditional marketplaces operate by integrating blockchain, smart contracts, and crypto wallets to ensure transparency, trust, and true digital ownership.

In this project, I took full ownership of the research, UI design, prototyping, usability testing, and front-end development. The process began with an in-depth exploration of Web3 technologies, user expectations in decentralized platforms, and a comparative analysis of traditional e-commerce experiences. These insights helped me identify opportunities to merge familiar shopping patterns with innovative blockchain functionality, ensuring accessibility for both seasoned crypto users and newcomers.

Using Figma as my main tool, I designed a modern and futuristic interface guided by principles of glassmorphism and high visual clarity. The design system emphasizes transparency, layered depth, and dynamic lighting to communicate both innovation and trust. Navigation and branding choices were key to creating a seamless and intuitive flow that aligns with Tekka’s tech-driven identity.

The project is currently in its implementation phase, with development scheduled for completion in mid-November. Early feedback on the design has been highly positive, validating its forward-thinking aesthetic and user-centered approach. Tekka stands as an exploration of how decentralized technology can redefine the future of online retail through thoughtful design and human-centered innovation.
